We ended our day at Time Square. This place is amazing. I couldn't believe the number of people out at 1:00am on a Thursday night.  Posted by Hello

This is a taken a couple blocks from ground zero.  Posted by Hello

Just some buildings next to the World Trade Center. The fence off area is where the World Trade Center used to be.  Posted by Hello

This is ground zero in New York (this is the old basement of the World Trade Center). We took the subway to this station which used to be the basement of the World Trade Center. Now it's known as the bathtub.  Posted by Hello

This time we're on the board walk. It was 90 degrees in Moorestown which is about an hour away and about 60 degrees here. Kind of chilli.  Posted by Hello

Atlantic City. We're not quite on the board walk but we're close. The walk way we're on leads from the board walk to the beach.  Posted by Hello

During our trip last week in Philly we ate at the original Philly Cheese Steak Place. Gino's. Posted by Hello

Weird Dream

Last night I had a dream that I got out of my Explorer to get something out of the back of it. I apparently parked on a hill and only put it in neutral, when I reached in the back I pushed it and it started going down the hill. I tried to stop it but I to much of a girly man so it rolled down the hill and hit a sign and then rolled over.

So I'm left trying to figure out what the heck that means this morning.

Systems Engineering Training

I'm in my last class of a four course Systems Engineering curriculum right now. I find it astonishing that all these courses teach the same thing but by changing the names of these courses and maybe the order of which they cover the material they can make four times as much. Then they try and make you feel special by offering a certificate upon completion. It's a great business model and I'm mad that I didn't think of it. (Ok not really) I guess I don't really mind to much cuz I get to see a bunch of different places at no expense to me. Speaking of sites, we ate the original Philly cheese steak sub. It was good, but it wasn't as good as I remembered last year. Although last year we ate there after a night out on the town so that might have had something to do with it.

Philly

We're here. The plane arrived early today but Avis sucks and they didn't have enough staff to handle a line of people so we ended up waiting for about 45 minutes to get our car. It sucked, but we got a Chevy Impala. I love the car it handles great and with all the Jug Handles here I'll get the most out of it. There may be little tread left when I return it.

Now it's off to training for the week. Hopefully training doesn't get in the way of site seeing since I brought my wife on this trip. We're planning on visiting Atlantic City, New York, and we can't miss the original Philly Cheesesteak.

More later, I need to get some sleep.

Star Wars Weekend

After seeing the Revenge of the Sith I wanted to see the following three episodes. I tried to buy the trilogy but nobody had it in stock. So I order them through my online account with Blockbuster. So far I've got A New Hope and Empire Strikes back. One left to see. I'm still waiting for the Return of the Jedi then I'll have completed the trilogy. Jen is not the most thrilled to view these movies but hey she's got one left and we're done.

I'm short fat Hulk

According to the website musclenet I could max out at 333lbs. That's interesting. Now I don't need to waste my workout trying a max. I'm not sure if this is valid or not but hey it makes me feel like a short fat Hulk. Currently I bench 3 sets of 10 with 250lbs. Then I put 275 on and I can get about 5 more. Not bad for an old fat short guy.

A Memorial weekend to remember

A friend from MN came to visit this weekend. Jen and I have never went out on the town yet since we got to FL. Something about being pregnant will do that to you. But since Jean was here we made an exception. Joel, Pardeep, and Co were nice enough to take us out. We had seven people piled in my truck. Yep it was a very tight fit cuz no one wanted to sit in the bed. We hit Banana Joes Friday night which was pretty cool. It was very similar to the Banana Joes in MN that got closed down. Saturday night we went to a club on Clearwater beach. If you've ever watched a MTV spring break show, then you know how crazy this bar was. Girls were making out on stage and the DJ was walking around with shots for the girls when they did crazy things. We hung out in the back until a little after 1, thinking the bar closed at 2 we'd have a good hour of dancing. Well the bar shut down at 1:30. No biggie though, we were all pretty tired out by then. Well except for Jean who was still on MN time.

We spent Sunday at Honeymoon island in the super hot FL sun. While sitting the beach Jean kept saying "Look at the fish". I'm thinking a Grouper or something must have been splashing around but I never saw it. I asked what kind of fish and she said a whale or something. I'm like "You're crazy", but sure enough we saw a bunch of dolphins swimming around. Talk about friggen awesome. I got some pics of them and I'll post them later. Later that night we ate at Crabby Bills and then we went to some bar where Jean drank Pardeep under the table. Actually she drank everyone under the table but the fact that she was not that drunk compared to Pardeep was really funny. After getting home, Pardeep and Jean stayed up and went outside for a while only to get scared off by the back yard gator that was swimming towards them. I'm curious, would the gator have tried to eat them or was it just swimming around?

That about sums up the weekend.

A handicapped win

After 7 holes yesterday I thought I was losing big time at golf. I even had a 10 on one hole. Things were not going good. The only thing going for me was my opponent was playing that much worst. Well actually he shot his handicap, I shot two under mine. I won 5.5 holes and won an extra 3 for overall score. All this for shooting a 53 on a short course. That's a really bad score, but my great play has let to a really high handicap so I was able to pull out the win.

I'm still angry at my 69 though.

It's league night

So I'm at work now and all I can do is think about golf. Why do I get so excited for golf? I'm actually confused by this. For the last week or so I've been in a grumpy mood because of the 69 I shot. I feel like Gary Anderson in '98 after missing the only field goal of the year and the Vikings end up losing. Why should a golf match get me so upset? I won my golf match on Monday like 7-2, but that just doesn't make things better for some reason. I think deep down I'm just upset because I'm getting older. I hate the fact that I have to be mature. I keep getting funny looks when I say "What's up bad guy?" or when I ram someone's golf cart and try to push it into a pond. For some reason that was funny years ago and now people just roll their eyes. Well guess what, I think it's funny and I don't care what anyone else thinks. I'm going to be the most immature old fat person on the planet. It's my new goal. Either that or I need to invent a time machine and cruise back to the 80's.

After a once in a lifetime drive (300yds with a slight draw down the dog leg) by me the rest of the gang decided they needed to bow. Actually they were just really drunk so they didn't know any better.  Posted by Hello

Pardeep and his new Mini Cooper S. Posted by Hello

Beach - Star Wars - Golf - Beach

That sums up this last weekend. Does it get any better? We took home two awards from the golf tournament. Most Honest Team (Highest Score in a scramble) and some other award for being the silliest team on the course. We had two golfers who've never golfed before so that helped.

The weather was great for the beach. It was in the high 80's. Pardeep picked up his new car. It's a Mini Cooper S. Basically a super charged 1.6 liter that's super light and it goes.

Star Wars was awesome. It made me want to get the trilogy of episodes 4-6 and piece it all together. However, all stores were sold out. I guess I'm not the only nerd on the planet.

Sun burnt

We hung out at Clearwater Beach Friday. Not wanting to get a sun burn again I put on a ton of sun screen. We have a SPF 40 sun screen so I thought I'd be fine. Well it turns out I put on SPF 14 not 40. Let me tell ya, SPF 14 is not that strong. I resemble a nice red tomato. Yep, totally sunburnt. Next time I'll check the SPF without assuming what SPF it is.

It's pretty warm down here

I just thought I'd point out that it's getting pretty warm down here. I just checked the forecast for the next ten days and I've never seen a more consistent forecast. High of 87 Low of 69 with a chance of T-Storms. The temps very less then 2 degrees each day. But I like it, it makes for great beach bummen'. Which is what is on tap this three day weekend. Along with the viewing of the latest Star Wars movie. I'm going to predict that it's going to set a weekend gross record with all the hype it's received.

Have a great weekend all.

No backing in

A guy stopped me on the way to work and told me I can't back into my parking space at the Condo I live at? Under normal circumstances I wouldn't care, however, I have a truck that is pretty long and it's a major pain to pull in straight. It requires at least two shifts or more to get the vehicle straightened out in the space cuz the spaces are so small. I can back the truck in without a hitch ever time. So now I'm putting more wear and tear on my transmission because of the extra shifts to get the truck straight. So can anyone give me a reason why one can't back into their parking space? Someone here at work said it's so they can see your license plate. If that's the case then why doesn't FL require a plate on the front and back of the car like MN?

This may be a rant that's spilled over from my golf game. Which has been so bad lately that I just may retire now and not have to live with the frustration.

Miss me Tigger?

Wow, only four more months left here in FL. We just got called by our neighbors across the street in Richfield letting us know that they think Tigger is pregnant. If she is I'm sending her back to the vet, she was fixed 3 years ago. Actually, Tigger is just a fat cat, kind of like her owner. So I'm confused now, is she getting bigger or did the neighbors just notice that she's a tubby kitty.

Practice Practice

After the 69 I shot for nine holes last Thursday, I spent a good chunk of the weekend hitting golf balls. In fact my hand is really sore today. Probably a sign that I grip the club to hard. Hopefully it helps the golf match this week.

Jen's (the work Jen) parents took the Clw OLDP's out for supper on Saturday night. They were fun parents to hang out with. We had the loudest girl I've ever heard sitting behind us. I could hardly hear the conversations with this loud, and I might add really drunk, lady sitting there. For the most part I just kind of laughed when everyone else laughed, and I hoped for no direct questions so I didn't have to keep asking them to repeat themselves. I was really thankful after the lady left cuz I got some of my hearing back. Unfortunately it was time to leave. I was really shocked to find out that Jen's parents paid for all of us. If I would've known that I would've laid off the desert.

Sixty-Nine

Probably not what you're thinking. It's my golf score for nine holes yesterday. By far my worst league night ever. Although it was my first time playing on this course and my first league night in FL. Every course in FL has twice the water as any course in MN. Not good if you can't hit the ball straight. Next time I think I'll pass on the golf lesson the day before. One should give themselves plenty of time to work out their changes from the lesson before playing in a league or tourney. Either that or risk losing all clubs due to a rage induced impulse to see if you can throw the club farther then you hit the ball. Although on this day I was able to hold out and not throw any clubs. After exercising the restraint I did yesterday, my game suffered even more. From here on out I'm going to learn from this experience. It's better to throw a club or two and release the tension then it is to try and hold it in and not look so silly throwing a club. In my estimation shooting a 69 is way worse for the reputation then throwing a club. In fact the first thing said to me by my opponents today was "You didn't kill yourself?" Yep, definitely throwing my clubs next time.

The "Whizzinator"

The Vikings list of potential starters at the Running Back position just got shorter. The big O was caught with a device called the "Whizzinator". It's used to fake pee tests. Some people are never going to learn that maybe drugs aren't as important as making a couple million. Nothing new I guess. I thought the funny part of the whole thing is the name of the device. I looked online for the company that makes it and here's what they had on their web site. The WHIZZINATOR© is an easy to conceal, easy to use urinating device with a very realistic prosthetic penis. It has been extensively tested and proven to work under real-life conditions!

Unbelievable.

Three Day Weekend Flies By

Sunday we watched the Twins play the D-Rays at Tropicana Field. This is the second major league stadium I've seen outside of the Metrodome aka. The Inflatable Toilet. There were about 8-9 thousand fans there. I'd say a majority of them were Twins fans also. Jen and Joel got to experience my booming voice after I tipped a few down. What seemed like a sure blowout after a 8-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh turned out to be a game when the Rays scored 5 runs to cut the lead to 2. In the top of the eighth Joe Maurer was hitting a lot of foul balls in stands by third base. I thought I'd heckle him and yell at him to hit one to us in left field. Sure enough he smacked one a section down from us. That was pretty cool. Anyway, I posted some pics below this entry.

Saturday we went beach bummen at Clearwater beach. One could not ask for a better day. The temps were around 80 and there wasn't a cloud in the ski. I have a nice full body sun burn as a reminder, well except for some racoon eyes from my Oakleys. We also hit a movie that night, "Hitchhickers Guide To The Galaxy". All I can say skip it.

Friday was a fun fullfilled day of sleeping in and hitting the Gym. I finally got Forza and played that for a while. The game is pretty cool cuz it has my old Eagle Talon in it. I had to race with that for a while at first. Later I tried out the Mini-Cooper so I could let Pardeep know what his car was going to handle like. He should getting it this week sometime after about a 45 day wait.

Thursday night we watched a double episode of OC at Jens.

Fun stuff but now it's back to work. Boooo. Oh well gotta pay the bills.

8 dollar beers. After a couple of these there's no meaning to the word embarrasment. I'm pretty sure Joel and Jen will sit really far away if we ever attend another game.  Posted by Hello

Our Back Yard Gator

Jen got brave today when she spotted the gator that lives in our pond behind us and took a couple pics of it. Kind of cool.

Virtual Friday

It's Thrusday but since I don't have to work tomorrow it's like Friday. ahh I get to sleep in tomorrow, I'm so looking forward to it. Tonight I'm going to buy Forza, a racing game that just came out for the X-Box. So I can give you my update of my weekend in advance.

Friday - Saturday - Sunday: I'll be racing.

Have a good weekend all.

Missing Fingers

OK I can't resist the urge any longer. After reading Ryan’s post about people finding fingers in their food, read it here, I need to tell a story about Jennie-O. I'll admit up front that I'm telling story second hand from someone that I worked with there. But there were a couple witnesses so I'm thinking it might be true. Just a warning before believing this story, I'm very gullible and these girls might have been filling me full of bologna, turkey bologna that is. Anyway, here goes -

This guy is working on this machine and loses a finger. He show's some girls on the line so they can get help for him. One of the girls throws up on the line and all the product has to be thrown out. The line is washed down really well, generally when a line gets washed down it can take up to an hour so imagine the time lost from this. When they finally startup again the figure comes out of the machine and the girl sees it. She throws up again on the line. The line has to be shut down and cleaned again.

OK maybe it wasn't that funny and I wish I knew for sure of it was true or not. But I did meet the guy they claimed it happened to and he was missing a finger. So who knows? You can judge for yourself.

Just an FYI - To this day I have no problem eating anything made at Jennie-O. They have a great Quality Control program and they don't screw around with product safety. If there is even a hint of something wrong they'll throw out the entire batch of product.

What I miss most about Minnesota

Well I've been living here in FL for a while now and for the most part I don't really miss living in Minnesota that much. Other than not being able to see the relatives and having my own house. Today I was reminded by Matt of what I really miss most about Minnesota.

CHASING GEESE!!

There's nothing like trying to run down a hundred geese with a golf cart while honking away. It's so vivid in my mind right now.

Honk Honk Honk

Them dam alligators chase them away down here. Maybe I should chase some gators instead. hmmm let me ponder that one for a while. I’m thinking it could be kind of fun as long as I don’t lose a limb.

I'm Back

Jen and I got back home last night from our vacation. We went a whopping 90 miles away to Orlando. We stayed in the same condo as last year. The trip was a blast. Some pics from the trip are posted.

Here's a quick run down on what we did.

- Wednesday we were lazy and hung out by the pool all day. We did manage to get to Downtown Disney later that night. While we were there we hit Pleasure Island. That was pretty cool.

- Thursday we got up early and hit Animal Kindom. We got there when the park opened and took the Kilimanjaro Safaris, that was great there was a short line and the animals were moving around since it was still cool out. After we hit the bird show, which is where the Bald Eagle pic came from, and some Tarzan Rocks show. In all I'd rank Animal kindom a 5 out of 10 for fun.

Around 2pm we went to MGM and ate some lunch and I rode the Hollywood Tower of Terror and the 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds Rocken' Rollar Coaster. **Suggestion** Get a fast pass to the Rocken Rollar Coaster, since the line is pretty long, then ride the Tower of Terror a couple times. That line moves pretty fast.

We ended the day at EPCOT. We got some Chinese for supper and watched the fireworks to end the day. I didn't get a chance to ride any rides there.

- Friday and Sunday we hit Sea World. It was super busy on Friday but on Sunday it was a lot slower and more relaxing.

- Saturday we were lazy again and we just hung around the pool.

Anniversary Number 2

Happy anniversary Jen. It's hard to believe it's been two years since we got married on this day. That day was the best day of my life. It's hard to imagine that it could be topped, maybe when our baby comes at the end of August but for now the wedding tops the list. It was awesome to have my four brothers as groomsman and my two sisters participated as well. One couldn't ask for a better day then that day. We even had an off the wall priest. For all of you who made it to the wedding you may remember the brothers and sisters quote from the priest. For those of you that don't remember or didn’t see the wedding here's the clip. Bros&sis After the brothers and sisters quote check the groom out. Can you guess where the two black guests are in the crowd.?

Thanks Ben over at Studio 711 for letting me host the video on your machine.

Relay For Life

This past weekend Jen and I participated on our companies Relay For Life team. It's a cancer fund raiser. We started setting up at 6:00pm on Friday. We had a couple tents set up and lots of food and coffee to sell. Each team is required to have someone walking around a track the entire night, until 9:00am the next day. We also built a limo out of cardboard and one of our team members participated in a Miss Relay contest. That was hilarious because each team had to have a guy dress as a girl and they had to walk the cat walk and then give a speech, just like a Miss America pageant. At the end of the event three team members had to race the limo around the track. I ended up being one of the racers. I got a serious wakeup call letting me know that I was out of shape. I made it about 1/4 of the way around the track and I felt like I was going to collapse. I let me team down big time. But in my defense we lost to a bunch of high school track stars.

Wake Up!!

Daylight savings time has totally messed up my sleep routine. One would think that by now I'd be over it. I got to bed by 9:30 and I just end up tossing and turning for a couple of hours. Then I wake up many nights around 3:00am and can't get back to sleep. It's driving me crazy. So when I couldn't sleep last night I said screw it I'm coming into work. So it's 5:30am and I'm working.

A New Pope

Why such an old pope? I have theory. The cardinals all want to be pope some day and if they picked a young guy like Pope John Paul II he'd be a pope for 20-30 years. Then the other pope wananbees would never get a shot. This way if they pick a pope that's super old they'll have a better chance down the road to be pope. I don't know, it's just a thought.

Nolans Pregnancy Reaction

Dude you are expecting!!!! Holy cow man, do you know yet whether it is a boy or girl? In case you already haven't noticed, your wife is ready for the ultimate emotional rollercoaster. You think throwing the phone downstairs was bad? Get ready for the computer monitor, or the t.v, or three quarters of your precious moments collection, which takes longer so it is a bit more satisfying. The best advice I can give you is the bumper sticker I should have: GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND SHUT UP.
From this day forth for about a year:
1. Everything is your fault. Absolutely everything, from the house being to small, to the T.V. reception being bad, to it raining outside.
2. Learn to swallow your pride, what little you managed to hide in the precious moments boxes.
3. Learn to say: "Honey, I'm sorry. I'm a big fat oaf. I haven't spent my whole life preparing for this moment.
4. You do not have enough money.
5. Babies 'R Us is evil and will consume all money destined for Best Buy and Home depot.
6. You will become excited over super absorbant Pampers.
7. Instead of the usual fantasies, you will have fantasies about curling up in a big comforter and getting 5 solid hours of sleep.
8. Your wife while currently being only one of Satan's minions, will become his warchief. But don't worry, she will return to normal maybe a year after childbirth.
9. You will become proud to call the garage your space to do whatever you want with (as long as the cars fit).
10. Every nurse/doctor/health care professional has different advice for everything.
11. Having a child will not be like anyone told you it would, but it will be awesome.

Hang in there man, you are in for it. It will be great though. Keep reminding yourself what your wife is going through, and that will help you understand why she is the way she is.

Golf Lessons

I broke down and took my first golf lesson on Saturday. The guy made an adjustment to my stance, grip, and ball placement. Then I felt like Tiger Woods for a while. I hit every ball straight as an arrow with my short clubs 8-wedge. The instructor even laughed a bit at me because of the way I was hitting the ball. He was like "That's a beautiful swing". Well I had about 15 balls left to hit and I thought I'd try a long iron to see what would happen. Well I never hit a good ball. The instructor told me to go back to the short irons to get my feel back and I stilled shanked them bad. I messed up a good thing somehow.

So I'm thinking if I try again Sunday I'll get it back. Wrong!! I have no clue what I'm doing wrong and I'm so messed up now. Hopefully in the long run these lessons will help out. But for now I'm screwed.

Theives

First my banana now my house. When is it going to stop. Andy informs me that my house was broke into sometime while he was in Small Falls. They stole his X-Box and some of his money. Not good. At least they left the big screen and Jens Precious Moments alone. If they would've harmed the Precioius Moments Jen might have whooped some serious butt. Now I'm left with a broken window to fix. Kind of hard to fix a broken window in Minnesota while I'm Florida.

Banana

Weird.

I bring banana's into work. If I'm not hungry I'll leave them for later. The next day they're gone. I just realized it now because I forget that I left it from the day before. However, today I got hungry and remembered I'd left one from yesterday.

What is going on here? They don't get rotton overnight and I want to save them for the next day. Someone is swipping my banana's and it's cheesing me off. I know I'll forget them if I put them in my drawer and they'll turn into mush so I leave them on my desk so I'll remember them.

Now I'm kind of curious. Who is the theif? And then what am I supposed to do if I catch him/her?

To Much Water

This is from an article I read on the Star Tribune. I found it kind of interesting. Who would've thunk to much water would be bad for you.

During intense exercise the kidneys cannot excrete excess water. But as people keep drinking, the extra water moves into their cells, including brain cells. The engorged brain cells, with no room to expand, press against the skull and can compress the brain stem, which controls vital functions such as breathing. The result can be fatal.

The Wife is Pregnant Responses

I've recently began to let people know my wife is pregnant. The due date is Aug 31st, the same day as Ryan's B-Day. Here are some responses.

A conversation on Instant Messenger yesterday
Kyle says:
We'll be coming back with a baby

Matthew says:
HOLY CRAP

Matthew says:
WHAT

Ryan says:
I did not read that correctly

Kyle says:
Aug 30th is the due date.

Ryan says:
Wasn't april fools last week

Johnson, Matthew C says:
Poppa Kyle?

Setrum, Kyle L says:
I know. I should've did that on April 1st . No one would've believed it.

Steffen, John says:
Are you serious?

Setrum, Kyle L says:
No bull.

Johnson, Matthew C says:
Wow, congrats buddy

Kyle L says:
Thanks

Ryan says:
Congrats man. That's crazy

Matthew says:
Your going to be the worst Little League Coach ever

Kyle L says:
I'll rule as a coach.

Ryan says:
I feel like I did when we asked how todd's weekend was and he said "oh yeah and I got married."

Ryan says:
We're talking wolves and kyle just lays it all out there

Matthew C says:
yeah, classic

Ryan says:
I got told Kyle is having a kid by IM on the LM network. What were the odds?

Alex's response to an email
Congratulations!!! 5 friggin' months!!! I'm speechless.

An email to Ben and Jay
Jay -
Kyle, that’s awesome, congrats. Looks like FLA has really changed things for you. And I wouldn’t burden the boy with a name sake after Ryan. That’s almost cruelty.

Ben -
Wow congratulations! Orlando is the city of love. I think you should just name the child Ben. One name. Don't pollute the name with that Setrum business.

The kid will probably come out of the womb and say "Cleaned, scoped, and mounted" **A reference to the EA Game Generals**

Ryan again -
The name should be Ryan Jennifer Setrum if it's a girl.

It works as Jennifer Ryan Setrum too, but you don't want too many Jen's in the house.

It might come out with an eerie and unholy understanding of Jennie-O that can't be explained. Becareful if the kid likes strained turkey but won't eat beef.

The Office

Joel net sended me today saying he had a really funny story to tell me and that I should go to his cube to hear it. His cube is across the building from mine so I was thinking this story was funny. When I got there he said a kid he went out with over the weekend gave a cabby some crap and he thought it was funny. I was kind of confused cuz I didn't think it was funny. Maybe he had a funny story to tell me but realized he couldn't tell me. But whatever. I needed to get away from my cube anyway since I farted something awful and it stunk really bad. In fact it was so bad that it was still rotten when I got back.

3 day weekend

Friday we hit Clearwater beach. It was the first time I've been there. The sugar sand is awesome to walk in or play some football as we did. Diving for the ball is not a problem. I had my wife put on some sun screen and now I have a weird color scheme on my back because she didn't not get my whole back. Probably cuz I’m so fat she couldn’t get all of it. I'm now red and white. We ate at Frenchies on the beach which was awesome. It's a good view and the food was good. We got in almost right away. When we left there must have been a hundred people in line. That's how popular this place is. Then we went home and watched the T-Wolves on national TV. That was real great watching the effort put on by the defense. Oh well, the lottery is looking good right about now. It's time to rebuild.

Saturday we didn't do much. I tried to golf but the course had a tournament going on. The guy felt bad and gave me a free bucket of balls to hit. I got my swing worked out I think. We'll see. Saturday night we just stayed home vegged and watched some TV.

Sunday I got to golf. Not good but I think I was just tired from working out earlier in the day. Florida is not a good place to play if you can hit the ball straight. There's lots of water so I've lost close to fifty balls this year. I'm heading to Wal-Mart to buy the cheapest balls possible.

The End Is Near

With the Pope gone and all it's got to be close to the end of something. I've been frantically wondering what it could be. What message is God trying to send us? Today I found out what it is - my Net Send Communicator tool. Since I started working here there has not been a chat program available for us to collaborate with. So I developed a tool that used windows built in net send functionality. This tool gain a lot of popularity throughout the work place even reaching places such as New Jersey, Texas and many others. By far my most popular application I've ever written. Well, I recently found out that MSN Messenger is now an accepted tool. Now I fear it's only a matter of time before my Net Send Communicator tool is replaced on the desktop with a Commercial Off the Shelf tool. I guess it had to happen at some point. Maybe my tool can co-exist with MSN Messenger, maybe there's a nitch market for it with in the work place. Who knows, but it's a sad sad day.

Congrates Green-O

Green-O had a baby boy on Friday. Something like 9lbs 9ozs. Crazy stuff. It's weird to think just a few years ago we were partying it up at St Cloud State. Now we have to get old and have kids. Why is that? Oh well, guess we'll have to just relive the memories. One in particular was when Green-O passed out and we took Becka's bacon strips and put them on Green-O's head. Definitely a pic to show the kids right Green-O? :)

A car that runs on compressed air

I found this story about a car that runs on compressed air. Read ithere. Sounds great. But if it really worked wouldn't it sell itself. Why would you have pursuade the public to buy it.

To Be Road Kill

So I'm rollerblading to work today and I come upon a hidden driveway. Two cars come barreling out. The first car turns left, which is no biggie. The next car veers right and doesn't even look to the right. Instead she's looking to the left to watch for on coming traffic. All the while I'm trying to get my fat ass to stop cuz I know she isn't stopping for me. Since I was already in front of the car the only thing I can do, is do a 180 turn and try and get out of the way. Know imagine a fat ass trying to get turned around really quick on rollerblades. So I get turned around but she's hitting the accelerator, there's no way I'm getting out of this one. So the car is a couple feet away and I'm thinking about what it'll feel like to be road kill. Will I finally be granted my wish of being thin once again? Will I stink as I rot along with rest of the road kill? Will someone think enough of me to at least kick me to the curb? Will someone think I'm an old poster from an 80's rock band? I wonder what the 2D version of me looks like? (Kind of amazing how many thoughts one can get through the head in a short amount of time) And finally the lady turns my way and slams on the brakes. My hand grazes the hood of the car and the road kill version of me is averted. At this point I'm not quite sure who crapped their pants worse me or her. I'm sure she didn't car about me, rather she didn't want her car scratched.

Funny Guy

If you stopped by earlier you probably saw a post about Ben getting a chance to be on Jeopardy. Well I had to delete it. Why? It was a friggen April Fools Joke. how could I be so dumb! Dah, even after I've been trying to think of a joke to play on co-workers.

Well I was burned big time. And Kudus to Ryan for figuring it out right away and stewing on it so all us other gullible morons could congratulate Ben.

for all you you who want to see how bad I got burned here's the original post. I take back all the nice things I said about Ben. He's a really a self centered, egotistic, bad driven' bully. (I really can't say what I feel here)

Anyway, nice work on the April Fools Joke Ben.
